How to Choose the Right DA and TF for Your Niche

June 12, 2026

Understanding DA and TF in PBN Selection

Not all links are created equal. When selecting PBN links, Domain Authority (DA) and Trust Flow (TF) are two of the most important metrics to consider. Choosing the wrong metrics can mean wasted investment; choosing the right ones can catapult your rankings.

What is Domain Authority?

Domain Authority, developed by Moz, scores websites from 1 to 100. Generally, DA 20–35 suits new or local businesses, DA 35–50 fits competitive niches, and DA 50+ is needed for highly competitive national markets.

What is Trust Flow?

Trust Flow from Majestic measures the quality of links. A TF above 20 indicates a trustworthy domain. Always look for a TF:CF ratio close to 1:2.

Matching Metrics to Competition

Analyse your top 3 competitors using tools like Ahrefs or Moz. Your PBN link profile should closely match or slightly exceed the average authority of links pointing to ranking pages.
